Real Madrid team news

After winning last season’s La Liga and European Cup titles Real Madrid have been active in the summer transfer window. Aurélien Tchouameni and Antonio Rüdiger have joined from Monaco and Chelsea, respectively. The pair will be seeking to make their Los Blancos debut on Wednesday evening. Carlo Ancelotti — who said goodbye to Borja Mayoral, Luka Jović, Isco, Marcelo and Gareth Bale — has no major injury concerns and will still look to skipper Karim Benzema for the bulk of Real’s goals this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt team news

Heading into their inaugural Champions League season Frankfurt signed up to eight new players most notably Mario Götze, however they were unable to start the new Bundesliga season on a positive note as they were humbled 1-6 by Bayern Munich at home. Oliver Glasner, who goes into this game without defenders Jérôme Onguéné and Aurélio Buta, will be cautious of a repeat performance against Real. Frankfurt, in turn, will aim to become the second German club to win Uefa’s Super Cup after Bayern.

Scoreline prediction: Real Madrid 3-0 Eintracht Frankfurt
